Eat with confidence
Allergen advice
Your safety matters to us. Here's how we handle allergens at Mulkanwan — and how to order with confidence if you have an allergy or intolerance.
How we prepare your food
At Mulkanwan, almost everything is made fresh by hand in a single, busy kitchen — breakfasts, lunches, bakes and catering all share the same space, equipment and preparation surfaces. Because of this, ingredients that are allergens can come into contact with other dishes, even when they aren't listed as part of a recipe.
We cannot guarantee that any dish is completely free from a particular allergen. Traces of nuts, gluten, egg, dairy, sesame and other allergens may be present in any item we serve. If you have a food allergy or intolerance, please tell us before you order.
The 14 major allergens
UK law identifies 14 allergens that must be declared in food. We can tell you which of these are used as ingredients in any dish — just ask a member of our team.
Telling us about an allergy
Your safety matters to us, and a quick conversation is the best way to keep you safe:
- Let us know about any allergy or intolerance before ordering — in person, over the phone, or in the notes when you order online.
- We'll happily talk you through the ingredients in a dish so you can make an informed choice.
- If your allergy is severe, please bear in mind the risk of cross-contact described above when choosing what to order.
- If you carry medication such as an adrenaline auto-injector, please keep it with you.
Allergens for catering & platters
Catering for an office, meeting or event? Tell us about any allergies or dietary requirements when you book, and we'll advise on suitable options and label items where we can. Please confirm the final requirements when your order is arranged, and check details on collection or delivery before serving to your guests.
